Cultural Day- 2014

On 25th of July we all dressed up in our national costumes and cultural gear to celebrate the many nationalities our school has.

Lavalava

We in Room 16 read a big book on Lavalava. We found out that it is a rectangular cloth worn as a skirt in Samoa. The term lava-lava is both singular and plural in the Samoan language. We then decided to design our own Lavalava and we did an awesome art. We are so proud of our Lavalava.
